Solidarity against US war on Iran!

We, the undersigned, are together in calling for de-escalation in the tense situation in the Middle East, to wit Iraq and Iran. We are one voice calling for Donald Trump, the president of the United States, to stand down and end its aggressive posturing against Iran and Iraq. We are in chorus calling out against war of the US for imperial control of the Middle East.

We also express our solidarity with the people of Iraq and Iran in their fight against US intervention.

No to war for oil and resources

Iran has proven oil reserves of 150 billion barrels, and has the 2nd largest gas reserve in the world. Both Iraq and Iran are members of the OPEC.

Iraq has 153 billion barrels or 12% of the global proven oil reserves and currently 2nd in the amount oil output among the members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), along with other resources like natural gas.

The drive of the Trump-led US in the Middle East is for control of the massive natural resource of the region, including that of Iran and Iraq. We say no to war for oil and resources!

No to US War Machine

War waged by the US benefits the US Military Industrial Complex. In 2018, Trump requested US 639B for defense spending, to be used for new weapons and overseas operations. While global stocks have dropped due to the rising tension in the Middle East, war machine companies like Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and General Dynamics has seen their still value growing. We do no want to feed the US War Machine!

No to US war in Iran and Iraq!
No to the US Empire War Machine!
Solidarity against the war!
