ILPS supports Georges Abdallah

Freedom to Georges Ibrahim Abdallah

The International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS) extends its whole-hearted support to the campaign for the freedom of Georges Ibrahim Abdallah, Lebanese communist and revolutionary. ILPS fully supports the mobilization on October 24, 2015 in Lannemezan on the 31st year of Georges Ibrahim Abdallah’s imprisonment.

Georges Ibrahim Abdallah is a staunch fighter against Israeli Zionism and US imperialism. In 1978, he fought alongside the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) against the Israeli invasion and occupation of Lebanon.

He has been unjustly imprisoned in France since October 24, 1984 and has been qualified for parole since 1999. But the French government, clearly at the behest of the Zionist-Israeli government and the United States government, has kept him in prison.

Throughout the world, thousands of anti-imperialist activists and revolutionaries are in jail for their staunch commitment to the struggles of the peoples of the world against imperialism and all forms of reaction. It is the solemn and urgent duty of all anti-imperialist forces to mobilize and demand the immediate freedom of all political prisoners throughout the world who are unjustly imprisoned for their political beliefs.

Freedom to Georges Ibrahim Abdallah!
Freedom to all political prisoners!
Down with imperialism and all forms of reaction!
Advance the peoples’ struggle for a new and better world!
