Message for the New Year 2015
By Prof. JOSE MARIA SISON
Chairperson, International Coordinating Committee
International League of Peoples’ Struggle
As Chairperson of the International Coordinating Committee of the International League of Peoples’ Struggle, I wish to convey warmest greetings of solidarity to all commissions, global region committees, national chapters, member-organizations and allies of the League.
We congratulate you for all the achievements that you have won in the previous year and for having risen to a higher level of resoluteness and militancy in dealing with the 17 concerns of the League at every territorial level. We are deeply pleased with the progress of your educational activities, organizational work and mass campaigns against imperialism and for democracy.
The crisis of global capitalism has resulted in protracted depression and is ever deepening and worsening under the catastrophic policy of neoliberalism. Contradictions are escalating between labor and capital in the imperialist countries, between the imperialist countries and the oppressed peoples and nations and among the imperialist powers themselves.
The imperialist powers and reactionaries are ferociously engaged in state terrorism, war provocations, military intervention and wars of aggression. In recent times, the danger of a nuclear war has reemerged in a way worse than during the Cold War because the US is becoming more aggressive and is arrogantly and blatantly threatening to use nuclear weapons against Russia.
The imperialist powers and their reactionary allies and puppets are imposing the reign of terror and greed in every part of the world. The broad masses of the people cannot tolerate the extreme exploitation and oppression that they are suffering. They are desirous of revolutionary change. They are intensifying their resistance.
We therefore urge the entire League and all its allies at every territorial level and in every every field of concern to intensify their efforts to further arouse, organize and mobilize the people for further mass struggles and to aim for greater victories in the common struggle for democracy and socialism against imperialism and reaction.
