ILPS endorses Global Call to Action on 29 November, the UN International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People

The Commission 1 of the International League of Peoples' Struggle, in accordance with the resolutions and agreements of the 5th International Assembly held in the Philippines, endorses and supports the global call to action on November 29, the United Nations International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, as proposed by the Palestinian Youth Movement, BAYAN USA and ILPS US Chapter.

The 21st Conference of Parties (COP21) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), to be held in Paris from November 30 to December 11, 2015, has been touted as a make-or-break meeting that will produce a new agreement, one that will supposedly serve as bridge after Kyoto Protocol and govern long-term global climate action from 2020 onward.

Solidarity with Paris and Beirut

Delegates of the International League of Peoples' Struggle (ILPS) for its 5th International Assembly marched in the Philippines to light candles and offer flowers for the victims of terror attacks in Paris and Beirut.

They called for justice and condemned the US as the "No. 1 terrorist" for its wars and using the Daesh or ISIS/ISIL for its imperialist interest.

The world cannot speak of the terror attacks in Paris without condemning the equally heinous Nov. 12 bombing in South Beirut, also claimed by ISIS or the Daesh. The mostly Shia community, which is also home to Palestinian refugee camps, has been the target of repeated sectarian bombings since the start of the terrorist war against Syria.

ILPS expresses condolences to the French people, condemns Paris terrorist attacks

We, the International League of Peoples' Struggle, express our sincerest condolences to the people of France and condemn in the strongest terms the terrrorist attacks in several crowded areas of Paris on November 13 that killed at least 127 people and wounded more than 200 (99 of whom suffered serious injuries) with the use of assault rifles and bombs. The casualties are still being assessed.
